Intro:

We have translated these books which may at times not make any sense to those of us are not familiar with Thai traditions, history and an in-depth understanding of Buddhism. Thai is one of the most difficult languages in the world to translate. There is a lot of metaphors, which are different to the western world of life. So, try and understand. You can buy the books and do your own research on them, and scan the text and translate it. Many book writers go on about certain things that are very long and vague, so we have tried to make more sense of it. We are going to translate many more books.

Sak Yant Legend

Sak Yant tattooing has been around since ancient times and has been a long time and the exact period of time has not been determined, but which probably predates the era of King Naresuan the Great. At that time and event of battles, the army, protecting the nation, the Thai men who fought were told that they must have good things to protect themselves. Be it a takrud, talisman cloth, Prachiat cloth, Phisamorn and various amulets including tattooing on the body. Most Thai men in the past liked to get tattoos because anyone with no tattoos on the body were considered to not be a man.

So, in ancient times Thai men therefore would search out famous Sak Yant teachers with knowledge of sacred magic spells to tattoo themselves.

A teacher with knowledge of magic and the ability to tattoo a talisman at will to make tattoos for students with a ceremony. The spelling of magical numbers is performed correctly according to a textbook. Especially the oil for tattooing is mixed with various herbs that have invulnerable properties. Or the ink being used in the tattooing will be consecrated according to the time, the power of the day, and another physical examination will be done to determine whether Ink….and oil…or herbs…shall be used.

Can it be consecrated?

It wasn’t that I wanted to get a tattoo, I just got a tattoo.

Belief in sacred things that have the power to inspire happiness and fulfillment, protection against danger and provide good fortune, includes blessings to those of us who have faith in these things. There are many different types, according to circumstances, creeds, religions, and races.

Some believe in nymphs and others believe in amazing things and some believe in God.

Some believe in magic, mantras, incantations, relics, sacred objects, priests, and magical objects among people. The legend of tattooing has been passed down through the heritage of the Thai people.

For many eras during the reign of King Taksin the Great, it can be seen from a group of Bang Rachan villagers that Luang Pho Thammachote was the leader of the villagers in fighting to protect the nation from the Burmese enemy. He chanted the magical numbers and cast spells on them. The villagers of Bang Rachan can be seen on the memorial statue, where there were clothes, Pra jiad armbands, shirt, talisman and decorated takruts.

Yantra Mon Sak Yant Tattoo Designs

Mon characters according to records have a long history, having been used approximately 3000-4000 years ago. According to inscriptions, they probably date back to the 13th century or around 1314 AD. This inscription is called the Pallava script, which the Pallava script is the origin of the current Mon script. The Mon language in medieval inscriptions is both the Mon language and the Mon script. Around 1600 AD onwards, Burma adopted the Mon script and started writing in Burmese for the first time.

Around the 16th and 17th Buddhist centuries, the letters were changed from the Pallava letters to rectangular letters. Ancient Mon script had changed to a smaller size in the later period, and up to the 21st Buddhist century it has now become known as the Mon script. Currently, the Mon script is round shaped caused by the influence of writing books using a steel stencil on a palm leaf

Current Mon language is a language from a period of approximately 400 years and during this era, it was seen as an inscription on a palm leaf.

Introduction

My life revolves around the Luk Thung industry, composing songs, creating singers, some becoming famous, some becoming unsuccessful, all depending on each person’s karma and destiny.

Creating a singer or naming a singer is up to themselves and choosing whatever name you or they wish for. I have never been excited to go to a monk or a guru to help name a singer or to bless a CD.

I have heard the name “Ajarn Noo Kanpai” for quite some time, since he first became famous and later, he became world famous after he tattooed the Hollywood star I admire, “Angelina Jolie”.

Later on, I began to notice MCs, celebrities, singers, musicians, artists, comedians, millionaires, politicians, be they friends, brothers, or students, people I knew or didn’t, when they met, they would often show off their shoulders and show off the five-row Hah Taew  yantra, as if to say, “Do you have one? I do too.” It was a popular brand that everyone began to follow.

And then, as time went by, it was considered to be not trendy as the last train (of fashion) went on it’s away.

But recently, two female singers, former members of an Isaan variety band that was once one of the biggest hits in Thailand (even though the band has now broken up), came to my studio to record a new album.

That was the first time I saw the five-row yantra in full view on the bare backs of two female singers (they were wearing tank tops, not shirts, so please don’t think that singers have to take off their clothes).

“It is a five-line yantra with graceful lines, beautiful but powerful. The details in the magical characters are exquisite and intricate, showing the intention and spirit of the person who carefully tattooed the needle. It is an art that only an artist with unique abilities can create.

(When reading the above paragraph, please think of the images and postures of Master Chalermchai Khositphiphat. It will make it more enjoyable.) But I can only admire it in my heart.

I didn’t want to get a tattoo.

This book was written in 1960’s, Na 108, name of book, and 108 means “a lot” or “many” in Thai language and is a saying. There is about 200 basic Sak Yant Thai designs. We have many more to do.

those who read and consume it must be wise in selecting and interpreting the meaning of the scriptures to understand their meaning, and then select and practice them appropriately according to the time and occasion. This will bring happiness, prosperity, efficiency, or sacredness as desired by those who are interested and those who study them.

Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to the Director, Luk S. Thammaphakdi, for having the idea to compile and collect these 5 volumes of Buddhist scriptures, which is difficult for others to do, with sincerity once again. On this last occasion, I will try to examine them as much as my time will permit and with the knowledge and ability that I have, in order to help promote these 4 volumes to be successful and beneficial to our beloved country to the utmost of my ability.

Finally, I would like to wish the director, Luk S. Thammaphakdi, his family and his entourage the four blessings of life: age, beauty, and prosperity.
